The “Programme Ministériel des aides techniques à la communication”
(PMATCOM ) is a program of the Quebec Ministry of Health and
Social Services (MHSS).
The program lends equipment to the handicapped persons to help them overcome
certain disabilities.
The technical aids covered by the program are divided into six (6)
categories:
- Speech aids
- Augmentative and alternative communication aids
- Writing aids
- Adapted telephones
- Computer access devices
- Environmental control systems
The PMATCOM is managed by Centre de réadaptation Marie Enfant a
program of CHU Sainte-Justine
